Executing agile channel pivots, compressing flighting windows, & optimizing direct ticketing partner pathways for an ultra-efficient, high-volume growth driver.
With modern travelers structuring entire trips around live performances, the resort needed to maximize ticket sales for the secondary flight of its headliner residency. However, initial flight tactics, such as extended pre-show flighting, broad targeting, and reliance on target ROAS (tROAS) bidding, hit purchase-volume bottlenecks and platform-level verification friction.
We analyzed first-flight data and uncovered two game-changing audience insights:
- Historical flight data revealed that core buyers (ages 45+) responded exponentially better to Facebook and direct ticketing signal environments than broad awareness placements. Ticketing custom audiences consistently outperformed general R&B interest segments, driving conversions at a 25% lower CPA.
- Drive-market travelers showed a much higher propensity to convert during short, high-intensity windows directly surrounding show dates, rather than elongated pre-show buying timelines.
High-Impact Execution & Channel Pivots
We replaced broad-reach tactics with a high-intent, hyper-focused media strategy designed to convert concertgoers right at the point of decision:
- Condensed Drive-Market Targeting: Compressed the media footprint into a strategic two-week execution window around show weekends, concentrating budget directly when target audiences were actively making trip decisions.
- Agile Campaign Optimizations: Swapped Performance Max bid strategies from tROAS to Maximize Conversions to resolve initial purchase volume bottlenecks. Routed PMax traffic directly to TicketMaster landing pages, eliminating friction from historical third-party verification.
- Intent-Driven Social Pivots: Shifted Paid Social optimization goals from video views (ViVs) directly to outbound ticket links, generating a 97% reduction in link-out CPA while significantly scaling link-out volume. Launched dedicated Conversion Social campaigns to replace underperforming boosted post models.
- High-Impact Geo-Conquesting & Event Activation: Executed a high-visibility, 1-mile radius geo-targeted awareness push around Allegiant Stadium during an Usher concert weekend, capturing 61,803 targeted impressions at a $6.47 CPM to engage in-market R&B enthusiasts. Tested search competitor conquesting, dynamically reallocating budget into top-performing Performance Max channels when search volume reached saturation.

Multi-Channel Tracking & In-Flight Reallocation
We established full media accountability by tracking lower-funnel KPIs and utilizing cross-residency benchmarks to validate every dollar spent. Following a ticketing platform migration to TicketMaster, we isolated partner ad metrics, proving it served as our key conversion driver with the highest pROAS and strongest efficiencies across all paid media. With that, we continuously benchmarked performance against concurrent resort entertainment offerings (such as a resident headline magic act). While our R&B residency drove optimal efficiencies via Facebook among 45+ buyers, comparative residency data guided platform-specific adjustments across Instagram for younger demographics (25–44). Additionally, we actively monitored cost-per-acquisition metrics across channels, dynamically reallocating budget away from inefficient search conquesting and awareness social tactics toward highest-performing lower-funnel channels in real time.
Exceptional Efficiency & Scaled Volume
By shifting from extended awareness campaigns to an intent-first, agile conversion strategy, our media pivots transformed acquisition performance and unlocked significant transaction volume. Directly addressing the client's business objective, we captured high-intent concertgoers at the moment of travel decision-making while maximizing bottom-line efficiency across every paid channel, driving a -41.5% reduction in ticket link-out CPA, a +59.6% increase in total link-out volume, and a +21% improvement in ticket purchase CPA across social conversion campaigns.
